Build your own hydraulic platform lifter and learn about simple machines
Platform Lifters are cool machines that are used to lift platform horizontally. This model uses the same principles as those used in real situations, except you use water instead of hydraulic fluid – much cleaner! Once made, the Platform Lifter provides an excellent example of how we use technology to move things around. This can be a great jumping off point for learning about simple machines, levers and hydraulics! This kit conforms to EN71 and ASTM safety standards. The wood is natural and untreated, the pressboard unpainted. Ages 8 and up
